Aug 30- A strong move down to end the day and close below the 200 period MA on the 60 min charts was how the market decided to leave things. Further selling in the afterhours shows we could be in either a new wave down or just a pullback of some sort but either way the direction is probably down going into tomorrow.

Aug 25- A lazy down day today in the markets but I think the larger pattern is becoming a bit more clear. Seems we are just in a large symmetrical triangle right now so there’s not a whole lot to be done until the break happens. I’m assuming the boys will say something tomorrow to stir the markets one way or the other.

Aug 23- Bulls come back into the market and put in a pretty good showing. The internals were OK but at least it’s a start. I still can’t get away from the Daily charts and, while they look a teeny bit better today, the overall pattern is still down in the near future.

Aug 18- Options Expiration week didn’t let me down as we finally got a day of volatility in the markets. Most of it came on the gap down to start the morning unfortunately so finding a price to enter was not the easiest task. We ended the day with a quick pop upwards and this may carry over into tomorrow’s session but I’m not convinced more lows aren’t coming soon.

Aug 11 – A very nice push by the bulls this morning that actually started in the after hours last night. We hit a low last night on the futures of 1103 so that makes today’s run even that much more impressive. The internals confirmed everything today so the only thing left for the bulls is a little confirmation into Friday.

Aug 8 – It’s 2008 all over again. The selling was relentless and doesn’t allow the bulls to get out or the bears to get in. If you’re not already short or you’re not a day trader about the only thing to do is wait. The bounce will come but right now there’s just no real entry one way or the other.

Aug 1 – LOTS of movement today in the markets as the debt deal news was very short lived. Heavy spike down brought new lows in the markets and the end of the day showed us right back below overhead resistance. Will tomorrow bring the larger bounce everyone is hoping for?
