July 29 – A fantastic week for the bears as the double top formation on the DOW was confirmed. Expect a bounce early next week as we are a bit extended down here in this area.
 
The Trading Room had another great week as well especially with the hard push we saw this morning and a tasty long position. The room continues to perform well so why not give it a shot? July 25 – The ‘major’ move down last night that the talking heads on TV were blabbering about didn’t really amount to much as the markets, while they did close down, didn’t really hurt anything from a bull standpoint. It would appear at this time that my call of ‘short term bearish and longer term bullish’ is actually playing itself out quite nicely.

July 22 – Yet another consolidation day in the markets….if you weren’t the NASDAQ. NDX showing real strength today as it blasts through the overhead 2420 mark and closes at new highs yet again. Now we just need to wait and see if the other markets will follow but my bias is that they will.

July 21 – A very quick run to start the day left everyone wondering where we would go next…..and we never found out. Nothing but sideways action the rest of the day but, as it has been time and time before, still a more bullish look than anything else at this point.

July 19 – Hard push up as the bulls find their footing for at least a day. I believe this will be a defining moment for the markets over the next few days. AAPL, of course, reported well and is way up in the afterhours but that was to be expected. I do expect a sideways day or a small pullback day tomorrow and if it happens I still have to give my bias to the bulls. The chart just is what it is!

July 15 – Typical boring Friday wander-around-and-ultimately-go-nowhere-should-have-walked-the-dog day in the markets. Overall markets were down for the week but the pullback is very controlled. Earnings season should be a huge deciding factor in our next direction.

July 13 – Selling was hard this afternoon and when the bell rang Moody’s comes out and remarks that it may be cutting the American bond rating which only accelerated the selling in the after hours. You don’t suppose there were a few big guns that knew about this at mid day today do ya? Things that make ya go hmmmmmm……

July 11 – Bears are still trying to recover some ground and did a pretty good job of it today. It’s just too bad that they really haven’t hurt the bull sin the bigger picture yet after a two week run to the upside. Still…..not a bad start to things but is this a new move to new lows or just a pullback?

July 7 – The bulls are just relentless up here! A pullback IS coming but it doesn’t have to be tomorrow. I’ve said this wave 3 could extend for a few more days and that’s been true so far. It could also get us into and through tomorrow so don’t count on a pullback but do be cautious if you’re long. Just keep stops in place.

July 5 – Markets wandered nowhere today as the participants decided to lay low for a day. Maybe they’re waiting for earnings season to start. Anyway, doesn’t matter. Point is they’re taking a break after the HUGE run up by the bulls last week and the fact that they didn’t drop today is way better for the bulls than it is for the bears.

Trading room was a BLAST! I’m mentally spent but it was nice having people to chat with and throw ideas out today. Andre was the MAN with the ILMN suggestion. That turned out way better than anyone expected. Thanks again to everyone that signed up. I really think it’s going to be a great time for everyone!
