Free Market Video April 29 2011

April 29 – Bulls finish the week strong and we now have new highs to look at on the charts. AAPL and some other techs took a huge plunge at the end of the day on giant volume so we’ll see if that makes any difference coming into next week but I’m not too stressed about it yet. Pretty simple week to trade so I hope you guys made money! If you didn’t then let me show you how so you can get on with your trading!!!

April 27 – There was a big ‘no surprise’ by the FED today as they decided to do nothing yet again. The markets reacted well to the news and finished the day strong coming into more news tomorrow. Gold has been very good to us in the subscribers newsletter so if you haven’t signed up and tried it out why not give it a shot?

April 25 – The markets start the new week in slow motion as we once again wander sideways at the top of a move. The FED releases their rate decision on Wednesday so it’s possible the markets may consolidate until they know for sure what the decision will be. I can’t imagine they will raise the rates so a stick to the status quo is probably in order.

April 21 – Markets behaved pretty much as expected. We were up to start the day on yet another gap and then went nowhere all day long. Volume was low, market internals were flat and the trading was pretty boring from an Indices standpoint. The subscribers did very well again this week with new trades in gold, oil, and VMED which we were long above $28. Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy your Easter!

April 20 – A huge move up today but most of it came on the gap to start the day….frustrating from a day traders perspective! One more day to go and it appears the bulls are back in power. If there is a move down tomorrow I wouldn’t expect it to be anything major and well controlled by the bulls. Be careful hanging on to things over a three day weekend……it’s good to give your mind a rest from the markets every now and then!

April 18 – The downgrade today really had a strong initial effect on the markets but, as they always seem to do, the bulls didn’t let it get too out of control. Good moves below areas of support were met with buying with the NDX showing the most strength by the time the day was done. I’m sure a lot of this had to do with the strong move by AAPL today as it regained that coveted $330 mark it lost last week. Will the strong hammer candle on the NDX be a sign of our direction into Easter?

April 15 – GOOG got killed in the after effects of its earnings and AAPL didn’t fare so well either as it broke the $330 line we’ve been talking about for a while. The break of $330 led to some profits today for those that like to day trade but it puts the longs in a bit of a conundrum coming into next week’s earnings. Regardless of this the Indices ALL finished UP for the day and strong for the week as April’s options expirations come to a close. The subscribers were treated to another strong week of profits with another trade in Gold and we made 10% shorting IAG and a 4% return shorting X this week. At $1 a day how can you not afford to give the newsletter a chance? I’m just sayin’

Free Market Video April 14 2011

April 14 – After a short move downwards to start the day the market trended very nicely for the bulls. The move seems rather corrective at the present time so it’s hard to gauge if the bulls will ultimately win this battle even with the bullish Daily candles that were left. GOOG got crushed in the after hours but the SPX and DOW didn’t seem too fazed by the earnings so there may still be a little strength left in the bull tank yet.

Market Update April 13 2011

April 13 – No daily video today but I will give a brief synopsis. The bulls certainly weren’t in any hurry to push things up after the drop yesterday. We appear to be waiting on baited breath for earnings to start the move. The NAS was stronger today and why not? Most people are bullish on the techs as earnings come into focus and for good reason. Most of what we’ve seen in the recent past has been positive for the markets even if a few stocks report badly. AAPL made a small push up today and held that lower $330 area for another day while BIDU and GOOG also showed some upwards motion. If things are going to get bullish into earnings these will be on most of the investors radar. I typically find buying some AAPL a month or so before earnings are released to be a pretty good bet but it hasn’t shown near the strength it usually does with earnings only being a week away. Watch to see if it starts to get legs as GOOG and others report into the end of the week and even one call option can add up to quite a bit by the time AAPL reports.

Continue to watch the areas of support and resistance we’ve been focusing on and let’s see if the big dogs can move things in the bulls direction yet again into and through earnings season.

Free Market Video April 12 2011

April 12 – We finally got a break today as the bears decided to make a more substantial move. You should be in some short positions and let’s keep our stops in place and see if we can get any follow through tomorrow by the bears. Market internals were just OK so I’m not real excited by the strength of the move but there is room for improvement coming into Wednesday’s trading.
