Mar 31 – Another consolidation day in the markets as March came in like a lion and went out like a lamb. Overhead resistance levels we were watching from yesterday held for another day but so far we’ve seen these moves all resolve themselves upwards. Watch for the levels we’ve been watching to break coming into tomorrow.

Mar 30 – Another bullish gap up followed by some more buying and RIGHT into overhead resistance. Lather, rinse, repeat. Markets are following technical analysis very very well the past few days with support and resistance holding nicely. Patience and breaks of these levels have given us good opportunities for some profits so far this week.

Mar 29 – Support held today as the markets bounced nicely off of the lower levels we’ve been watching but were unable to break through the seemingly glass ceiling that’s just above us. While nothing was really broken one way or the other the bulls certainly look to be poised for another blast upwards…..patience is your best friend right now.
In between the small moves in the markets I was able to get some video of the new puppies that were born early Monday morning. Make sure and show your kids! As they get older I’ll continue to keep you updated on how they’re all doing.

Mar 28 – The bears did a pretty good job of stalling the rise higher today but we’ve seen this before. As long as the bulls don’t give up too much ground they still have the slight advantage in the short term. We have some very good areas to watch if the markets pullback the next couple of days but all in all nothing has been broken concerning our more conservative entry levels.

Mar 27 – Coming off of a strong week by the bulls it’s hard not think that we’re headed to new highs but the truth is we have no real confirmation one way or the other as to which side really has the control right now. The bears, however, are precariously balanced on a thin line right here and need to make some effort in the next few days if they want to drag this thing back down anytime soon. Free Market Video Mar 25 2011

Mar 25 – Strong week for the bulls as the bears gave up a lot more ground than would have been expected. They apparently aren’t quite ready to take the markets back yet. Many of the upper levels held by the end of the day on some of the Daily charts but it’s little consolation to the bears since all of the smaller time frame resistances didn’t do so well all week long. FAZ and FAS were sideways once again but AAPL turned out to be a fantastic trade from the open for those of you that have been following along. Nicely done!

Mar 24 – Bulls continue their climb upwards and, yet again, while some Indices broke some overhead resistance areas others stalled out a bit. The 60 minute chart on the SPX showed some strong overhead resistance for a good portion of the day and then hit a wall on the Daily. Overall so far so good for the bulls as they continue their push in much the same fashion as they have over the past few months…..eat away a little at a time.

Mar 23 – The markets had a sharp snapback after a move down to start the morning session. The move upwards remained constant all day long and while the internals didn’t necessarily confirm the move the VIX certainly did. At halfway through the week we’ve seen quite a drop in the VIX with the markets moving in a bullish pullback move. Can the bulls break through or will the overhead resistance ultimately hold?

Mar 22 – A slow consolidation day which is only to be expected after a whirlwind of movement last week. Still no breaks of the heavier upper resistance lines on the charts so we still have no real direction from either side. We can give a slight edge to the bulls, however, since they’ve been able to keep things up and around these higher resistance areas.

Mar 21 – If you can’t beat it…..gap it. The gap breaks the inverse H&S that we were watching this weekend and the bulls did appear to ‘prove’ it as it were. If that’s the case then we have some higher prices yet to come. The question will now be whether or not the higher prices will come in the form of gaps.
